From peasant experience and the best products of this area, Ischia Sapori is born, the first and only factory liquors and specialty of Ischia.
Well known the bitters of herbs and fruits, the RUCOLINO which takes its name from the so-called “rocket” that grows abundantly in many different sites, but particularly in family gardens. Never before the “eruca sativa” had named and lent its leaves to produce a liqueur. As well as Rosolio (type of liqueur), leaves of arugula should be treated with great delicacy in the process of maceration, after it has received an infusion of the peel of citrus fruits, herbs and roots, but the combination of flavors used in the preparation remains a secret.
Famous and well-known liqueurs are made with a selection of the most common species of citrus of the gulf, such as the most valuable varieties of “femminello”, “monachello”, “lunario” and the famous “limone di pane” for Lemonis and “Citronella”, “deliziosa” and “citrus comune” for the Mandaris. The farmers, once selected the best grapes, in fact, have converted part of the work of the screw in favor of large plantations of citrus.
